Job Hunt Skills – A guideline to be successful as a job hunter

  1. List and research your target organizations – research before you job-search
  2. Try to reach out to people who know your target organizations and what they want and learn what they are currently looking for – learn the shortcuts
  3. Market-test your CV – don’t be in a hurry to send out your CV, vet it someone with hiring experience
  4. Know what you have and know what you want
  5. Use a multi-channel approach – approach organizations and volunteer
  6. Plan for rejection – there may be a lot of NOs before you get a YES
  7. Practice interview feedback, practice interview questions
